Requested Review!

This is a review of the Neutrogena Deep Clean Long Last Shine Control Daily Scrub. It's claims are this: This scrub gently exfoliates and goes deep down to pores to clear out impurities and built-up oil at the source. It's so effective, it instantly absorbs 85% of built up oil that can lead to excess shine. Plus, patent-pending rice protein technology acts like a microsponge to continue absorbing excess oil for long-lasting, fresh, breathable skin.

  • Oil-Free

  • Won't Clog Pores

  • Won't Overdry Skin

  • Dermatologist Tested
First this product comes in a 4.2 fl oz tube and is colored blue. I know saying the color of it seems kind of stupid, but I actually tend not to buy something if it is a weird color. It smell is not chemical, but it is not really describable. It has very fine grains of exfoliate in it to gently buff away dead skin cells. I saw a noticeable increase in how long I started getting oily. It added about an hour or two depending so that gave me about 3 to 4 hours. It cost any where around 6-8 dollars. It did help overall and I will probably repurchase if I don't find anything better.Overall, I do recommend it, but it is not a miracle product. If anyone has found the miracle for oily skin PLEASE share! ;) If you think I need to add another aspect to my review to make it better please tell me in the comments! Also, I am always open to reviews but just so you know I do not have any Mac and I only have a handful of higher end cosmetics. I shop mainly at Ulta and get the drugstore or occasional high end item. You can request any product review but if it is higher end I cannot grantee I will have it to review.

Blu_Ray High Definition Mattifier by Cargo

I used the Urban Decay Mattifier and finished the tube and I thought that it was alright, but it wasn't the best I could get so I purchased this Mattifier for 28 dollars. It looks orange coming out of the tube, but blends right into my fair skin tone. It feels silky on your skin and helps keep my oil level down for 5ish hours. I have really noticed a difference in the amount of oil produced and how much makeup is transferred when a blot. Over all it is worth the splurge, in my opinion, for this product.

    Helpful Hints!

The posts titled like this will be things I've learned from personal experience. If your like me after you got your eyebrows done for the first time you liked the way they looked and wanted to keep them maintained. A little while after I got them done I found them them uneven, so I tried to even them out. I got a little pluck happy and took about half of them of..... They were even, but they were only half there.... It looked ridiculous. I had to attempt to regrow them and had to deal with how to fill them. One thing that I used that I think helped them grow faster is the Castor oil. I applied a thin coat of it with a cotton swab to my eyebrows and where the eyebrow was previously. They grew back in about 6 weeks. There really is no miracle product that can fix it in a week, but they can grow back quicker than 6 weeks depending on how quickly your hair grows in general. Also when you try to fill them in use a powder. A wax can fill in spare areas, but it will look very unnatural if there is no hair there. A pencil makes eyebrows (if there is no hair there) very unnatural so powder is your best bet.

Maybelline Falsies Vs. One by One Volume Express

Maybelline has recently came out with two new mascaras, both of which are hyped up a lot. But are they really worth it? Starting with The Falsies, it has a non-plastic brush which normally I don't prefer, but it is in a curve with does make it better. The formula lenthens and makes your lashes appear fuller. The only problem I found with it is it does not dry quickly so I would occasionally find it below my eyes when I looked down before it dryed.
Maybelline's One by One is aslo an amazing lengthing and filling.  More on the lengthing side though in my opinion. It has a plastic brush with bristles in an oval shape. I have no problem with this formula drying, so Iprefer this mascara over the Falsies.

Overall, I recommend both of these products. If you have any questions please coment below!

    Finishing Spray for Face?

With oily skin you hate it when your face melts off. You look good at the beginning of the day and look like a hot mess at the end of the day.... Not pretty. Finishing sprays can help the problem a lot. I have tried Urban Decay All Nighter Finishing Spray and it work very well for keeping my makeup on.
The problem with this though is that even though it kept my makeup on, it didn't keep the oil away. When I blotted the oil came of, but I clearly still had oil. The next one I tried I had to order, but it was worth it. It is Skindinavia No More Shine Setting Spray.
I went ahead and bought the biggest size in this because I had high hopes and it did not disappoint! It kept my oil gone for 5ish hours compared to the 1 hour it usually stays for. It also helped not have transfer while blotting. I'm always on the lookout for new things though! Over all, I really like this product and would highly recommend it. I have learned to spray any setting spray before and after makeup application for more results.

    Morning Skincare for Oily Skin

I use a whole different system in the morning. At night I use the proactiv to target my acne while in the morning I use products to help control oil. For my cleanser I use the, not new but recently put on the market, Neutrogena Shine Control Daily Scrub. It actually comes out blue! It also has rice protiens to help absorb oil.

Next, for toner I use the Sea Breeze Actives Blemish and Blackhead control.
Lastly, I use the highly talked about Clinque Dramatically Different Moisterizing Gel. I wasn't gonna by this because it was on the high price scale, but after being desperate for relief from such oily skin so I bought it. I'm definitly not regretting it. It is very light and absorbs quickly.

Lastly, if I have a problem spot in the morning I use the Clean and Clear Advantange Acne Spot Treatment. It is drying so if does not make my skin any oilier. Is that a word? Lol.

Favorite Spring Body Spray and Perfume

My favorite spring body spray that I have been reaching for is Pink body splash in Sweet and Flirty.
This spray just smells delicious like a mixture of different fruits.

The perfume is DNKY Be Delicious. It smells just like green apple which is my favorite scent.

Those are my top ones that I have used the most lately.

    Quick Nail Tip

About to go to sleep so just a real quick tip. Like the color on your nails but kinda bored of it? Wanna new twist on your nails? Paint your nails a solid color and once you get tired of that add OPI Shatter or China Glaze Crackle on top. It will look great and it's a quick way of changing it up.

    Skincare Routine for Nighttime

My skincare routine differs from nighttime to morning so this will be a two parter but anyways this is what I use at night.

I use Cetaphil to take of my makeup first. I just use it normally, no special brush or anything. Just put it in my hands, rub it on my face, and take it off with a washcloth. Next on a normal day I will continue with the proactive system which works well for me. I use all the steps just as it says to. Every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday I change up the routine some by adding a exfoliater and mask.

This is the exfoliater I use. The St. Ives Apricot Scrub in blemish and blackhead control. I would use this before I do the mask.

I switch between these masks. My favorite has to be the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. I also like Freeman's Peel-off Cucumber Mask and Freeman's Clay Avocado and Oatmeal Mask.

This is my simple nighttime routine!

    Spring Nails

There are a multitude of nail polishes out for "spring" but are they really fit for spring? And what does spring nail polish really mean? Spring nail polish is typically in a way natural and pastel. When I try to pick out a nail polish I would use for spring I think of an Easter egg.

My nail polishes that I will be reaching for a lot this spring are these.

It doesn't show the names but the picture does show the true color. From left to right the names of these polishes are Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear-Violet Sparks which is a very light color that provides a very pretty purple sheen. Next is another Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear-Cotton Candy which does the same as the other except with a pink sheen. Next is Essie-Castaway which is just the perfect mix of a bright and pastel pink. One of my newest is this minty more of a baby blue color which is Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle-Gentle Blossom. Lastly is a neon yellow but it is still perfect for spring which is Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear-Mellow Yellow. Another color which is not pictured because the camera could not get the color correct but it is a beautiful pastal purple. The color is Ulta Salon Formula Nail Lacquer in Tutu Cute.

These two colors look great together and can be worn for either spring or summer. The colors are the yellow previously stated and the China Glaze Crackle Glaze in the color Broken Hearted.

Just found this picture on google but my nails looked very similar when I did the yellow I have and the pink. However, I am not sure what yellow was used in this picture.
If you're not the bright nails kind of gal and want a neutral color for spring this is the one for you! It is a hard to explain but it is like a prune purple mixed with brown. I understand it does not sound pretty but on nails it looks very nice.

Also on your nails you can always make flowers with nail art polishes or Sally Hansen has nail art in pen form which is easier to control.

If you liked this blog post their are plenty more coming so please follow and comment with any requests for future posts about anything beauty.
